Existing surface is broken out and removed, and the area excavated to the required depth.

Crushed rock is laid and compacted, then edges are formed to the finished levels and falls.

Steel mesh is placed on bar chairs so it sits within the slab rather than on the ground.

Pour and finish
Concrete is poured, screeded and finished, then expansion joints are cut.

Curing
The slab is left to cure. Foot traffic is usually fine after a few days, vehicles after around a month.
