How 1-Quote Works

Whether you type it 1-Quote, 1 Quote or One Quote, the process is the same: one request, a human review, and local contractors who come to you.

Tell us about your job

Fill in the Request a quote form: what you need done (a driveway, landscaping, decking, fencing and more), your address and suburb, and a few details like size, timeframe and budget range if you know them. It takes a few minutes and there is no cost.

We review the request

Every request is checked by our team before it goes anywhere. This filters out spam, duplicates and jobs outside the areas we cover, so contractors only see genuine, well-formed leads.

It is matched to contractors

Once approved, your request becomes visible to registered contractors who work in that trade and in your area. We cap how many contractors can take up any one request — usually up to five — so you are not flooded with calls.

Interested contractors buy access and contact you

A contractor who wants to quote your job pays for access to your details. That payment is what funds 1-Quote — homeowners are never charged. The contractor then contacts you directly, by phone or email, to arrange a quote.

You compare quotes and choose

You are in control from here. Compare what comes back, ask questions, and choose the contractor and price that suits you — or none of them. There is no obligation to accept any quote.
