How does 1-Quote work?
You submit one request describing your job and site. Our team reviews it, then it is made available to contractors who work in that trade and area. Interested contractors buy access to your details and contact you directly — you compare what comes back and choose who to hire, if anyone.
Is 1 Quote the same as 1-Quote?
Yes. "1 Quote", "1-Quote" and "1Quote" all refer to the same platform — the hyphen is just a stylistic choice in how the name is written, not a different business.
Is One Quote the same as 1-Quote?
Yes — "One Quote" is simply how some people say or type the name "1-Quote". It is the same platform, the same free service for homeowners.
How do I request a quote?
Use the "Request a quote" button on any page, or go straight to the quote request form. It takes a few minutes — your job details, site address and contact information. There is no cost and no obligation.
Is 1-Quote really free to use?
Yes. Homeowners never pay anything to request quotes or use 1-Quote. Contractors pay for the introduction, not you.
Why should I use 1-Quote?
It saves the back-and-forth of ringing around for quotes yourself. One request reaches multiple reviewed local contractors, you get to compare quotes without handing your number to a dozen different websites, and it costs you nothing — 1-Quote is funded by the contractors, not homeowners.
How many contractors will contact me?
We cap how many contractors can buy each request — usually up to five — so you get a handful of genuine quotes to compare, not fifty phone calls.
How quickly will I hear back?
Most requests are reviewed and published to contractors within one business day. From there, most homeowners hear back within 24 to 48 hours.
Do I have to accept a quote?
Never. Comparing quotes puts you in control — you choose the contractor, the price, and the timing, or none of the above.
Are the contractors licensed and insured?
Every contractor registers with a verified business name, mobile and email, and is reviewed by our team before they can access any leads.
