"Trusted" gets used loosely by a lot of trade websites. On 1-Quote it refers to a specific process that happens before a contractor ever sees your request, not just a badge on a page.
Every request is checked by a person
Before a quote request goes anywhere, our team reviews it. Requests that look like spam, duplicates, or outside the trades and areas we cover are not published to contractors at all. This filters out noise on both sides of the marketplace.
Every contractor is registered before they can buy a lead
A contractor cannot access any lead — yours or anyone else's — without first registering a real business name, a verified mobile number and a verified email, and passing our review. That happens once, up front, rather than being left for a homeowner to work out mid-conversation.
Matching is local, not nationwide
Outdoor trade work is inherently local — a contractor two hours away is not a realistic option for most jobs. Requests are matched to contractors who actually work in your trade and cover your suburb, not broadcast to a generic national list.
Your details are not the product
Your contact information is shared only with a contractor who has paid for access to your specific request. It is never published on the site and never sold on beyond the platform, a point covered in more detail in our Privacy Policy.
Comparing, not committing
Being matched with a contractor is not the same as hiring one. You can compare what comes back, ask follow-up questions, and choose freely — see our frequently asked questions for more on how that works, or read about 1-Quote for the full picture.
